Serena has been dancing at Jersey City Dance Academy for 14 years. In 2014 she was accepted into Morris County School of Technology’s Visual Performing Arts Dance program where she takes Improvisation, Choreography, Dance Science, Dance Repertory, Film Editing courses. She has studied under Ruth Clark, Lisa Peluso, Lynne Grossman, Alex Biegelson & 10 Hairy Legs, Michelle M. Robinson, Tammy Klinck, Donna Scro with Free Space Dance, Natasha Del’Elmo, Marina Del’Elmo, Jamie Hickey, Oliver Till, Michael Cerwinski, and Brian Binion. Serena has been accepted into Paper Mill Playhouse’s Senior Musical Theater Conservatory Company for the past three years. She has also accepted a scholarship for the Joffrey Summer Jazz and Contemporary Intensive in NYC.  She has also appeared in various musicals such as West Side Story, Thoroughly Modern Millie  and Footloose. Serena was the youth lead twice for Nimbus Dance Works’ The Jersey City Nutcracker, with dancers from The Martha Graham Dance Company.  Serena choreographs for her dance studio and for her school’s dance program. She is an active member of the National Honors Society for Dance Arts and the International Thespian Society.  Serena recently received the New Jersey Governor’s Award in dance, and was nominated for the NDEO Artistic Merit, Leadership and Academic Achievement Award.

She is a class of 2022 dance BFA at Montclair State University- ranked in the top 10 in the country.
